I have the honour to invite attention to the following circumstances connected with my appointment to the post of Asst. Apothecary in this Hospital.
2. My salary on appointment is $80 per month, rising by annual increments of $4 to $100 per month.
3. I was appointed by the Secretary of State in December 1889, but did not enter on my duties until February last. I have consequently resided here for four months.
4. I desire to point out that the salary attached to this office is, considering the circumstances of the Colony, insufficient for my maintenance, and respectfully request His Excellency the Governor to grant me
